Scientists from the Faculty of Chemistry, Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics,

The project is being carried out by scientists from the Faculty of Chemistry, Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics at Rzeszów University of Technology. Project participants include: Łukasz Bąk, BEng, PhD, Roman Bochenek, BEng, PhD, Marcin Chutkowski, BEng, PhD, Bartłomiej Filip, BEng, PhD, Paweł Fudali, BEng, PhD, Adam Kalina, BEng, PhD, Dariusz Krajewski, BEng, MSc, Krystyna Krzywdzińska-Kornak, BEng, MSc, Stanisław Noga, BEng, PhD, DSc, Rafał Oliwa, BEng, PhD, DSc, Andrzej Skrzat, BEng, PhD, DSc, and Marek Szumski, BEng, PhD. The project leader is Professor Stanisław Noga, BEng, PhD, DSc, Assoc. Prof.

The main objective of the project is to promote ANSYS software for broader use in teaching and research activities at Rzeszów University of Technology. As part of the teaching activities with students carried out by the mentioned university staff, the computational capabilities of innovative tools offered in the ANSYS software package are discussed. This includes modules: ANSYS Workbench, ANSYS ACP Pre Post, Static Structural, ANSYS Fluent, ANSYS Rocky, ANSYS SpaceClaim, ANSYS Electronics Desktop, ANSYS Discovery, ANSYS Mechanical, and CFD. Students will also be able to practically test the computational capabilities of the package modules. Staff successfully use ANSYS software in their research activities, testing new package capabilities.

One of the project outcomes will be instructions for carrying out selected computational tasks in individual modules available to interested students and staff at Rzeszów University of Technology. An additional result of the project is increasing the competence scope of teachers participating in the project through participation in specialist training designed for project participants. The organisation of training has been commissioned to external entities, and their subject matter concerns the use of the mentioned ANSYS system modules for conducting complex numerical analyses. Furthermore, the acquired knowledge will allow for expanding the university's research offer for industry and teaching through the development of educational content. New educational content developed as a result of the implemented project will allow for better preparation of students to enter the labour market by increasing their competitiveness in applying for employment in FEA analyst or engineer/designer positions.

The project is under financial patronage by ANSYS, Inc. within the "Ansys Education Grant 1.724.746.3304" programme, project number RM-U-24329. The project is being implemented in the academic years 2024–2025 and 2025–2026.
